Sponsor the cost of fits medicines for treatment of a Mentally Challenged poor child, INR 800

Vikash is a voluntary organization based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was founded in 1986 and is actively working in 14 underdeveloped districts of Odisha, covering over one million individuals. Its aim is to build self-reliant tribal and rural communities by educating children, providing livelihood opportunities and supporting people with disability.

How It Works

• With regards to people with disabilities, Vikash aims at maximizing their potential by developing their physical strength.
• The aim behind this is to enhance their ability to walk, to see, to hear, to talk, to move around, to learn and to enjoy.
• With this in mind, the organization has been working in the Puri and Khordha districts of Odisha with poor mentally challenged children affected by epilepsy.
• These children suffer from regular bouts of fits and do not step out of the home.
• Being physically weak they are mostly bed-ridden. Most of them do not go to school and are even considered mentally retarded.
• When given medicines, they become physically stronger. Slowly they start going out and playing with their peers.
• Their social interaction increases, which help them live a normal life like other children.
