Provide mobility to a poor disabled person by donating a tricycle / wheelchair, INR 6500


Uma Educational and Technical Society (U.E.T.S.) is based in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. This organization has been dedicatedly working towards promotion of inclusive, barrier free and rights-based society for the differently abled. They run exclusive workshops for fabricating and fitment of aids and appliances for the disabled such as artificial limbs, calipers, crutches etc. Their Community Based Rehabilitation Programme for the disabled is implemented across the East Godavari district.

How It Works

• Through this programme, special camps are conducted in rural and urban areas.
• These camps help the members of U.E.T.S. to identify and take measures on various issues related to community development, welfare and rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities, especially for those people who are below the poverty line.

Rebuild the Self confidence and sense of belongingness to occupation.
Y.Rambabu is 25 years old Physically Challenged Person. He was affected by polio at the age of 10. His parents are below poverty line and his father a small farmer. Rambabu also works in the farm and tries to be helpful to his family, but due to lack of mobility he is facing lot of difficulties to participate actively in agricultural work.
Rambabu approached Village Secretary to arrange the Tricycle for his Mobility. The Village Secretary referred him to our organization for providing one tricycle to him. After we observed his application, we have arranged free of cost tricycle for him with the help of GiveIndia donors.
Now he is able to move with his tricycle in and around the village. He is working as a daily laborer and he earns Rs. 75/- to 100/- per day. He expressed his gratitude to the organization and donor for making him independent
