Overview
Society for poor people development (SPPD) is an NGO that works on improving the living conditions of underprivileged children in the economically backward communities of Tamil Nadu.
How It Works
• This donation option will be used to provide nutritional support to the children of HIV/AIDS infected parents.
• Most of these children have only a single parent.
• The parents of these children are physically unfit to do any hard work and their monthly income is insufficient to meet the basic needs of the family.
• Hence these parents are unable to provide healthy and nutritional food to their children.
• SPPD supplies items like dates, cereals, dhal and health drinks to these children.
• SPPD also provides cash towards the purchase of items like milk and eggs.
Statistics
• 1 – Number of HIV infected children who will be helped with nutritional support through this donation and number of months for which donation would be used
• 50 – Percentage of children who are school going kids
