A Bright Future
Ilayaraja lost his father when he was very young. His mother was selling peanuts in a railway station. She had 2 more children who were elder to Ilayaraja., She was struggling to even feed her children, let alone educating them
The mother placed Ilaya raja in the care of Sevalaya. Sevalaya provided him shelter and food, a home away from home and also educated him. Ilayaraja was a very bright student With Sevalaya s support he joined Polytechnic after he completed his X and finished his diploma in Computer Science Engineering
Ilayaraja is employed in Tata Consultancy Services. He visits the service centre and is a living role model for the children of Sevalaya and a member of Board of Trustees. Ilayaraja says Sevalaya is solely responsible for my growth. Now I want to give back to society and do my bit and make sure that other kids at Sevalaya come up in life like me.
