Pahal Jan Sahyog Vikas Sansthan with Volvo Employee Aid Association is operating the “Community Medical Centre” at Khajrana to provide the quality and economical health services to the poor slum dwellers of Khajrana. . The aim of “Community Medical Centre” is to provide free access of health services to poor slum dwellers of Khajrana and surrounding areas. Since January 2013 our community medical centre expands various health care facilities like “Out Patient Department”, Inner Patient Department, general health checkups, vaccinations, Lab. Investigations, distribution of medicines, counseling of girls/women on safe motherhood & nutrition and slum awareness meetings on health issues arises in the slums etc. In the past two years we are successfully develops faith among the local community especially among poor section of the society. 1. Medical treatment through “OPD” and “IPD” services. 2. Providing services of a gynecologist and pediatrician for regular Anti Natal and Post Natal Care. 3. Promotion of safe deliveries with neonatal care & immunization of Pregnant Women and weekly immunization of Children. 4. Basic Lab Investigation facilities 5. Counseling on hygiene, malaria, hand wash, family planning, TB, HIV/AIDS and nutrition. 6. Health awareness activities through community meetings, school education program and mid media activities. 7. TB awareness and Sputum Collection & transportation of TB suspects. 8. Distribution of medicines to patients without any charge.

Medical help is easily available for Khajrana
Mohammad Sabir (40 years) is a resident of Jalla Colony at Khajrana Slum. His family consists of 7 members including him, wife, father, 2 sons and 2 daughters. He is a mechanic and only income generating member in the family. He hardly manages his expenditure as he has to pay the school fee of children, medicine of his old age father and other day to day household’s expenses.
Before three months his was suffering from fever and gets treatment from the private hospital at Indore. But the expense of private hospital was too high; he paid INR 2500/- at private hospital but no significant change was occur in his health. Due to his he was also unable to go on work which leads to consistence loss of income to his family. During his fever he came to know about the Khajrana Medical Centre and also visited the centre. Medical Officer at Khajrana Medical Centre (Dr. Kapil) examines him and prescribed the medicines for 7 days which is also available at free of cost at medical centre itself.
After the course of treatment he again resumes his work and his family members also started to come at Medical Centre for medical attention. In this centre they get free counseling/investigation including medicine which gives economical relief to them.
