I have a Dream (Amir Khan)
The students name is Amir khan. He is just 18 years. His father is a rickshaw driver who works on a daily wage. He belongs to a lower income group. He wanted to learn a skill and take up a job to pay his college fees. He was good at mobile and that was an interesting subject for him as there is so much craze for mobiles. He took up the mobile repairing course.
He was street smart. He would teach fellow mates in the class. He would grasp very quickly. Whatever he learnt he started practising at home. He finished the course and was looking for a part time job. We gave him the opportunity to work as a mobile repairing teacher for two hours. Then we arranged to support his balance college fees through donor.
He is earning 3,000 salary at Santacruz centre. Now he manages his studies and job very well. He has thanked DBM for helping him in times of financial crisis.
