Gift a scholarship to a poor girl for higher education, INR 5500

The Basics

• Education is imparted as a special privilege to the male children amongst economically unstable families in India. For most girl children higher education, and college remains a distant dream due to lack of funds and the mind-set of getting the girls married off early, irrespective of their interests in pursuing a self-sustaining career.
• Bhagini Nivedita Pratishthan provides an opportunity to deserving girls on the basis of sheer merit. Financial aid is given via scholarships.
• The programme is publicised, and candidates are sought through publicity and word of mouth.
• The BNP (Bhagini Nivedita Pratishthan) special committee verifies income levels, family background and academic records of the candidate.
• After a short-list is made, the committee interviews candidates and the scholarships are disbursed.
• Each beneficiary’s progress record is periodically shared with the donor. Eventually her overall development is mapped to make a real and measurable difference.

This partial scholarship entitles YOU to be a part of simple girl’s extraordinary journey!

Shravani lives in a joint family with her grandparents, parents and one brother. Her father has business of furniture making and mother is working in a mess. Her younger brother is studying in 9th std. Shravani got admission for B.Tech in a private college o her merit. She is very ambitious to complete her education and get job. As her father is in business the income is not regular and he has more responsibilities. It was difficult for him to pay the higher fees for engineering college in private college.
BNP gave her scholarship of Rs.11,000/-. BNP’s financial support helped her to pay part of her fees Shravani’s tension was relieved. She could concentrate properly on her studies. She got good marks i.e. 8.65 pointers in 1st and 9.38 pointers in 2nd semester.
