Mission/Vision
To Inspire and Enable the Visually Impaired
 
Background
Mitra Jyothi was established in 1990 at Bangalore in Karnataka to integrate persons with disabilities in mainstream society. Mitra Jyothi has designed a variety of training and support programs to assist persons with disabilities.
 
Ms.Madhu Singhal is visually impaired from birth. She faced and understood the problems of the visually impaired. Her university education, experience, contacts with the outside world and encouragement from her family and friends were instrumental in setting up Mitra Jyothi.
