To progress Indian society by enabling our disadvantage people to achieve their true potential.
Vatsalya began its work in 2001 with its interventions focused on children. Later we expanded our activities to the other areas as there was a need felt and also because it seemed to be more effective to address community as a whole. With almost similar resources and a little extra enthusiasm, we were able to accomplish much more.
Dr. Hitesh Gupta is one of the Co-Founders of Vatsalya and currently working as CEO. He is key driving force in Vatsalya and involved in HealthCare, HIV/AIDS, Vocational training of young people and Child Rights related project as researcher, guide and Manager. His major responsibility is to run operations of Vatsalya effectively and efficiently to make a difference in the life of the underprivileged population and meet the goals and vision of Vatsalya. He is full time devoted to the organisation and plays pivotal role in many projects. He remains in direct touch with beneficiaries and believes that beneficiaries do not need charity, but dignified support.

 Hard work pays for Anmol
Anmol is from a village in Maharashtra and was nine years old. Because of bad financial condition of family and run away father, Anmol with her two sisters were sent to Vatsalya in 2006. At that time she was the patient of T.B. Her mother was working in an orphanage to run the family. Vatsalya took care of Anmol and her younger sisters by giving them good education. She was malnourished and uninterested in studies. Vatsalya provided a happy childhood by rehabilitating her for 8 years and during this time she was empowered many ways and she completed Grade XII in June 2013. Anmol is a healthy and happy teenage girl, having lots of good qualities. She got 80% in senior secondary Board examinations. She is also a good Kathak dancer. Recently, she has got admission in Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) which is a great achievement for her & Vatsalya too.
Shaheena Baig is 20 Years Old. Her father is wall painter and earns an irregular income of Rs 3000 per month Her mother also supports the family income by kite making, but the earning is merely Rs 800 per month and this also is seasonal. She joined Information Technology Education Services (ITES) and completed her 3 months training. During the course she learnt personality development and English speaking and our staff got a job for her. After completing the course she joined The 108 Ambulance as a Tele caller Officer. She is earning Rs 8000 per month and is very happy with her life. Her aims are still higher in life.
