To open at least 25 centres in the remotest villages of West Bengal to start our journey and then move on to other parts of rural India. Our top priority is to run these centres six days a week and all through out the year.
The organization was set up following the prolonged suffering of one of its founders with cancer, since an early age. This exposed to him and his brother, the lack of quality health care facilities in India, particularly so for the rural poor. The brothers got together with like-minded people and established RHCF which provides low cost, quality health care in rural areas based on a model that is scalable, sustainable and replicable.
Anant and Arun Nevatia wound up their booming construction business and started this initiative for the poorest of the poor. He realised there is no end to money making and he decided to give back to society. Arun who was suffering from cancer and took 40 tablets along with injections twice daily, wanted to distribute so many medicines so that in his reincarnation he would be free from medicines. Taking this vision forward the brothers started this initiative to provide health care to the poorest of the poor.

 Giving Life
As we are operating in rural areas and urban slums which are economically poor and the primary health care infrastructure is non-existent. The local quacks control these helpless villagers in connivance with the big drug manufacturers and take them for a merry ride. It is unfortunate also that these villagers are not in a position even to buy those medicines prescribed by the said quacks. Each of our centres serves the area extensively including the adjoining areas. Qualified doctors treat the patients and prescribe the required medicines which are given to them free of cost. Patients that are more serious are referred to specialist doctors in Kolkata, who are empanelled with our organization, free of cost. Since the opening of our centres, the nexus of the local quacks and the unscrupulous dealers have seized to exist and people now have a place to get the right medical advice from a qualified doctor and get drugs without paying any money.
