Mission/Vision
Sabuj Sangha looks forward to an egalitarian society where people enjoy equal rights and access to equal opportunities.

Background
Sabuj Sangha, the organisation, evolved from a small club initiated in 1964 in Nandakumarpur in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India. It started working in a more focused manner as a non-government organisation, considering and addressing the remoteness and vulnerability of the Sunderbans region.

Mr. Ansuman Das is with Sabuj Sangha since its genesis in 1992. He has been the chief functionary of the organization, then deputed as the secretary, and now as the director of the organization. Mr. Das had started the journey from a grass root level organization covering villages under 1 Gram Panchayat, addressing a population of 30,000 with a turnover of around 200,000 INR. Now it operates extensively over 3 districts, catering a population of 1 million through projects of various International NGOs like GOAL-Ireland, Concern Worlwide-Ireland,SUAS-Ireland, Water For People-USA, PGWS-USA, ADFT-USA, ASTI-USA etc.
