 My name is Rajan
Ranjan like most of our children is a first generation learner from a disturbing background. He lacked the confidence to meet people, introduce himself and converse in basic English. He also saw the language as an unnecessary medium to interact. But knowing that the importance is significant, we have stepped in to make a difference. Our trained volunteers spend 2 hours on Saturdays & Sundays with children like Rajan teaching English using interactive, visual and listening aids following a Cambridge University Curriculum. This aids his holistic development & moulds his personality for the better. Access to storybooks and English software on the computers through the week ensure the continuity between classes is not missed. These days Rajan does not miss an opportunity to greet new people in English and has been utilizing every moment to improve his knowledge. His interest to read storybooks and daily newspapers stand testimony to this.

How Chandra got her School bag!
Chandra lives in a Children Home and goes to a government school. Like many others, wearing a pair of white shoes to school or carrying her books in a school bag is luxurious to this child. With no one to ask, she had kept her wishes to herself. We distributed wish cards to the children of her Orphanage, Chandra asked for a School bag. The cards were distributed to donors willing to fulfill the wishes that bought the gift and sent it to Bhumi. Bhumi distributed the gift at the Children Home to Chandra and others. Who is not happy to get gifts? Chandra was no exception. She now carries her books to school in a bag like everybody else
