Hemophilia Without Disability Children free of Pain
 
Background
The Organization was started in 1983 by Late Ashok Verma who was himself a hemophilia patient to alleviate the sufferings of thousands of hemophiliacs in the country.
 
Mr. Vikash C. Goyal President, HFI, is a Banglore based businessman and a father of a hemophiliac son. who passed away because of hemophilia and is therefore very passionate about this cause and for the welfare of the suffering hemophiliacs of India.

 Ray of Hope
Mr.Nagaraju is a victim of hemophilia with factor VIII deficiency. He is registered with hemophilia society Hyderabad chapter.In the month of March,2013 he was down with peritoneal bleed and was admitted in Little Star’s Children Hospital. He required a huge amount of factor VIII to control his bleeding immediately. His father is no more and his mother supports the family by stitching cloth. So when doctor asked his mother to arrange for the required factor his mother was in a helpless condition. Then HFI with the support from The Hans Foundation provided 5012 IUs of factor VIII as partial support, which was infused to him during the treatment. Due to this factor his bleeding is under control now and he is on his way of recovery. Due to this factor his bleeding came under control and he was recovered fully.
 
 Treatment Support
Mr.Pritam Mazumder is a patient of hemophilia with factor IX deficiency. He is a resident of a small village from North Bengal and is a registered member of Kolkata chapter. He was suffering from severe pain in his lower back in the month of August and he was unable to move from his bed. According to the local doctor he required factor IX infusion. His Physical condition was not very well. His father is a farmer .His father could not arrange for the required factor due to financial constraint In this situation HFI with the help of The Hans Foundation provided 4800 IUs of factor IX which was infused to him during the treatment. This well-timed support helped him in his recovery and his pain was comforted.
 
 An Initiative to save a life
When Mr Venkataramapa and Lakshmamma started living together they might not had even heard about the disorder Hemophilia. They had 6 siblings, 3 sons and 3 daughters. Their elder two sons expired because of hemophilia. Surviving younger son Manjunath is also a Hemophiliac with factor VIII deficiency with higher titer inhibitor, which cost Rs 28 per unit. One of their grand sons is also diagnosed with Hemophilia. V Manjunath (25 yrs) is the bread winner of the family. He is working as an office boy with Bangalore chapter for the last four years. He met with an accident when he was own his way back to home leaving his left leg fractured .He underwent surgery for his left thigh at Jain hospital Bangalore. Days after surgery he was readmitted in Jain hospital Bangalore with the complaint of perused bleeding plus infection. He required a large quantity of Feiba for the treatment. His family was not in a condition to procure the same for the treatment. But with the support from The Hans Foundation, HFI provided 5000 ius of Feiba. A helping hand from The Hans Foundation & HFI gave great relief to the family. Due to this timely intervention he was recovered fully after his surgery and was able to rejoin his office.
