Background
The idea for Kidpower came in 2005 when Dr. Vempadapu Venkata Ramana was invited to participate in a conference in Montreal, Canada, sponsored by Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International. He was impressed by the effectiveness of the Kidpower Method in teaching protection of human rights and decided to bring these services to india. After this the organization was registered in August 2007
 
Mr. Praveen Vempadapu is the Secretary and director of Kidpower. He has a Masters in Development Studies from Institute of Social Studies, The Hague. He was trained in USA on how to conduct kid power safety workshops for children. Praveen believes that Kidpower methods are fun and highly effective for prevention of abuse and violence.

 Prasanna – Happy and Confident
Bhupathiraju Prasanna is 8 years old and is from Yendada, Visakhapatnam. Her father died three years back. Her mother works as a helper in an office and her income is not sufficient to meet basic needs and education of Prasanna and her brother. Prasanna fees is not paid and she might soon drop out of school. Bhupathiraju Prasanna is 8 years old and is from Yendada, Visakhapatnam. Her father died three years back. Prasanna fees is not paid and she might soon drop out of school. Prasanna is a clever and healthy girl. She likes singing, dancing and playing games. She is happy that she can go to school. She is now studying in 3rd grade in Malatamba Vidyanikethan, Visakhapatnam. When she grows up, she wants to become a doctor.
