Most of the children we work with had never seen or touched a computer until our intervention. However, the interest and curiosity to learn what makes this utility unique and widely used helps us in keeping the spirits of these children high.
The computer education programme aids the children to start learning the basics of computer, Microsoft Office, the internet etc. The programming languages, Photoshop etc, are taught for those with interest and aptitude. Baseline assessment tests and frequent progress assessments help monitor the progress of the children.
After theoretical and practical classes for over a year, our children can identify the different parts of a computer and use the features of MS Paint and MS Office with little difficulty. Our annual inter-centre Computer Quest brings out the best in each of these children. Their works are available online on our site, are much appreciated and rewarded with certificates and prizes.
