Overview

The Siva Saraswathi Vidyalaya Nursery & Primary School (SSVNPS) was set up by Amar Seva Sangam to provide quality basic education to children of under-privileged families in Ayikudy who couldn t afford to attend regular private schools.

How It Works

• The Nursery and Primary School provides an environment where students with physical disabilities are placed on equal ground as those without disabilities.
• They are empowered to be active learners and community participants.
• All the students benefit from learning in an environment that is committed to acceptance, respect, and understanding.
• The continuous success of the various programmes of Amar Seva Sangam has led to tremendous growth in the schools each year.
• With this growth has come a pressing need for funds to support the school operations and necessary expansions.
• The school began with a handful of children, but this number has been constantly increasing since then
• SSVNPS is located at: 3-1-11/1 Krishnanan Kovil Street, Ayikudy.

Help a bud to blossom
Little Balasatheesh comes from a very poor family. His father repairs cycles to eke a living and the income he earns is not enough to support the family, specially since the mother suffers from a chronic disease. Unable to provide for his children, he approached Amar Seva Sangam for help.
Amar Seva Sangam found a donor to support the child, who is now able to attend school regularly.
Balasatheesh is now in UKG, and loves going to school everyday. He loves learning and reciting rhymes and is a delight to be around. His parents are extremely happy with his progress.
