Reimburse annual college expenses for a poor student, INR 10000
 Mail

Overview

GVT’s scholarship programme operates primarily in rural areas in Bharuch district where children have little access to higher education due to poverty and the shortage of colleges nearby. Their poor parents have jobs that barely provide for their day-to-day expenses. It is a huge challenge to shell out large sums of money towards college expenses. The plight of parents with 2 or 3 such children is even worse.
How It Works

Beneficiaries for the scholarship are identified either by word of mouth or recommended by their teachers.
After the students are identified, a preliminary round of enquiry is done to establish their financial background by GVT's CFs (Community Facilitators).
After the student's background check is done they are confirmed for scholarships
Attendance Records are checked monthly
Exam and assessment results are given high weightage for renewal of the annual scholarship
